USB Drive 1.1 is outdated and not supported.

I am sorry to inform you, but current version of  USB drive is very old and don't supported for years. I never tested it with latest devices and  iOS. I still keep it in repository for pure historical reasons and for the inquring minds :)

Q: Will you release USB Drive 2.0?
A: I don't know, but there is a chance.

Q: Will you release source code to the public?
A: No.

Hope to remove this post sometimes in the future.

USB drive was one of the most useful apps on Cydia and I really hope to see it updated for iOS 5 and the 4S. I would pay money and I'm sure many others as well to see it updates and with a way to view the files on the device.
Keep up the good work!

I wonder why you won't release the source code though

Please make a new version of this great program, I can't believe you are giving up on such an awesome project. :)

Fully agree, a shame to see a great app like this go away. Please consider an updated version, as im sure many more people will ask for it as people upgrade to iOS5/4S.

Someone posted a link to this on my forum, and I'm glad it was brought to my attention. We all appreciate your effort on creating this app and I hope you make an update, and as someone else stated earlier, I don't think people would mind paying a few bucks for it either. ;)

Just have to say, the same as the above. One of the best utilities for iPhones and would buy this if it worked on the latest iOS units

Is the author still alive? I /need/ an updated version for my 4S as the jailbreak will be coming soon.

It works quite good on iP 4 @ iOS 4.3.3, but slowly (transfers). Can't wait for 2.0 release, it'll be great.

I would also pay a nice chunk for ios 5 support. Thank you for the updated status on the project none the less.

Yes, my favorite part was the read only option, lots of programs on my memory stick would get deleted by antivirus very annoying until this

I would pay for update as well you did a great job on a revolutionary project I thought sounded insane at first.

Works just fine here on iPod Touch 4g iOS 5.0. Can boot from it and everything.

I would absolutely PAY for this!!! Please consider an update.... Heck... If you just post an update saying you need DONATIONS to update it for 5.0.1 I'd bet you'd get enough to motivate you.... just post a link asking for a fan vote and see....

Thank you for the comments, I probably need to post short update for this topic. USB Drive actually works on 5.0.1, at least on my iPhone 3GS and I've got at least one positive response from this blog reader. Nothing should prevent from working on other devices too (iPad will not have fancy UI, but this will be fixed soon). BUT USB Drive wasn't tested on these devices (I just don't have them for now), which is absolutely a requirement for such kind of applications.

I installed this app on my 4s & it appears that I have lost the 25GB partition I attempted to create.
Can you give me any tips on how I might be able to get my 25GB's back?
Like all the above posts, I would be happy to pay money for a working version of this software.
My email is jp.gh08@gmail.com
Any advise would be really appreciated.

I'm sure people would be willing to pay for a new version to make it worth your time. Heck, id pay $25 if it saved me the cost of buying a memory stick and the convenience of it being always in my pocket.

Well a reboot has fixed almost all problems with this for me, try that and delete the partition then reboot again. Then try reinstalling the app. If all else fails do a restore before apple releases 5.1.

Update on above issue. I lost 25gb due to phone 5 minute locking. I suggest you stay by the phone & occasionally touch the screen while the drive is being prepared.
But I restored my phone as advised above (Thanks) & got my 25gb back.
I reinstalled the USB drive app & created a 20gb drive & stayed by the phone & occasionally touched the screen to keep it alive & presto! Perfect!

I can't guarantee this, but I also deleted the app before backing up prior to restore for the risk that it may remember that the USB app was 25gb's big.

Please advise where I can donate.
